Lidaris joins a new research project: UNIPULSE

[LT] Ultratrumpųjų impulsų kietakūnių ir šviesolaidinių lazerių gamintoja UAB „Ekspla“ kartu su partneriais UAB „Lidaris”, UAB „Optomenas“ ir UAB „Altechna R&D“ pristatė projektą UNIPULSE (Nr. 01.2.1-LVPA-K-856-01-0027) -„Universali platforma trumpų impulsų generacijai“ (UNIPULSE), įgyvendinamą pagal ES priemonę „Eksperimentas“.

Projekto tikslas – sukurti kompaktišką, industrinius standartus atitinkančią didelės energijos ir didelės vidutinės galios kelių optinių ciklų lazerinę sistemą.

Projekto metu, vykdant mokslinių tyrimų ir eksperimentinės plėtros (MTEP) veiklas, planuojama sukurti pasaulinio naujumo produktą – kompaktišką, industrinius standartus atitinkančią didelės energijos ir didelės vidutinės galios kelių optinių ciklų lazerinę sistemą, kurios veikimas pagrįstas OPCPA (angl.: Optical Parametric Chirped Pulse Amplification) technologija. Sistema bus orientuota į novatoriškus eksperimentus atliekančias ultrasparčių procesų bei aukštų laukų fizikos laboratorijas bei praktinius taikymus ir pasižymės unikaliu išvadinių parametrų rinkiniu bei išskirtinėmis vartotojiškomis savybėmis.

Mokslinių tyrimų veikloje bus išbandomos ir integruojamos technologijos, leisiančios sukurti OPCPA sistemą bei ištirtos galimybės ateityje ženkliai padidinti jos išvadinę energiją, siekiant TW eilės smailinių intensyvumų.

Eksperimentinės plėtros etape bus sukonstruotas ir realizuotas galutinis tokios sistemos prototipas. Pasirinkta OPCPA sistemos koncepcija nulems ženkliai mažesnę savikainą ir galutinę prietaiso kainą, lyginant su rinkoje siūlomais analogais. Tiksliniai vartotojai galės įsigyti patikimą, sudėtingo diegimo ir priežiūros nereikalaujantį prietaisą, leidžiantį koncentruotis į tyrimus, o ne lazerinio šaltinio derinimą ir palaikymą.

[EN] On the 21st of July 2020, Lidaris joined a new research project with three worldwide known high-tech companies: EKSPLA, OPTOMAN, and Altechna R&D. The project UNIPULSE (Nr. 01.2.1-LVPA-K-856-01-0027) is a universal platform for short pulse generation.

Project duration: 2 years.
Time period: 2020 07 -2022 07.
The project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund and companies’ own resources.

The UNIPULSE dedicated to creating a product of global novelty – a compact, industrial-standard high-energy and high-medium-power multi-optical cycle laser system. The operation of the system will be based on Optical Parametric Chirped-Pulse Amplification (OPCPA) technology, which allows us to obtain extremely short and high energy laser pulses.

The UNIPULSE system will be focused on ultrafast processes and high-field physics laboratories that perform innovative experiments also practical applications and will feature a unique set of inference parameters and exceptional user features. It will be tested and integrated technologies in research activities to develop the OPCPA system and explore the possibility of significantly increasing its output energy in the future to achieve TW-order peak intensities.

In the experimental development stage, the final prototype of such a system will be constructed and implemented. The chosen OPCPA system concept will result in significantly lower cost and final price of the device compared to the analogs offered on the market. Target users will be able to purchase a reliable device that does not require complex installation and maintenance, allowing them to focus on research rather than tuning and maintaining a laser source.
